Description: "High-Speed Web-based Traffic Analysis and Flow Collection Tool\n ntopng\
\ is the next generation version of the original ntop, a network\n traffic probe\
\ that shows the network usage, similar to what the popular\n top Unix command\
\ does. ntop is based on libpcap and it has been written\n in a portable way in\
\ order to virtually run on every Unix platform,\n MacOSX and on Win32 as well.\n\
\ .\n ntopng users can use a web browser to navigate through ntop (that acts as\
\ a\n web server) traffic information and get a dump of the network status. In\
\ the\n latter case, ntop can be seen as a simple RMON-like agent with an embedded\
\ web\n interface. The use of:\n .\n * a web interface\n * limited configuration\
\ and administration via the web interface\n * reduced CPU and memory usage (they\
\ vary according to network size and\n traffic)\n .\n What ntopng can do:\n \
\ * Sort network traffic according to many protocols\n * Show network traffic\
\ and IPv4/v6 active hosts\n * Store on disk persistent traffic statistics in\
\ RRD format\n * Geolocate hosts\n * Discover application protocols by leveraging\
\ on nDPI, ntop\u2019s DPI\n framework\n * Characterise HTTP traffic by leveraging\
\ on characterisation services\n provided by block.si. ntopng comes with a\
\ demo characterisation key, but if\n you need a permanent one, please mail\
\ info@block.si\n * Show IP traffic distribution among the various protocols\n\
\ * Analyse IP traffic and sort it according to the source/destination\n * Display\
\ IP Traffic Subnet matrix (who\u2019s talking to who?)\n * Report IP protocol\
\ usage sorted by protocol type\n * Act as a NetFlow/sFlow collector for flows\
\ generated by routers (e.g.\n Cisco and Juniper) or switches (e.g. Foundry\
\ Networks) when used together\n with nProbe\n * Produce HTML5/AJAX network\
\ traffic statistics"
